ABOUT US
Applied Microbiology International (AMI) is a scientific society with a global membership and our vision is that microbiology can help solve the world’s greatest challenges. We are organised around seven core UN Sustainable Development Goals and we bring the microbiology community together across borders and disciplines, we look to the future and nurture those working and studying in our field, and we enable meaningful collaboration to advance scientific impact. We publish six research journals, three owned by AMI and published with Oxford University Press and three co-owned with and published by Wiley. We also publish The Microbiologist, our recently relaunched digital magazine.
ABOUT YOU
With experience in a scientific journals editorial role, you will be great at building relationships with editors of all nationalities and career stages. Your knowledge of journals publishing will enable you to support our editorial boards to develop in their roles and improve the efficiency of the journal for a better author experience. You will work collaboratively with the editorial boards, the in-house marketing team and our publishing partners to ensure the development and promotion of our journals and their integration with AMI activities. Highly organised and efficient, you will ensure our editors’ experience of AMI is professional and supportive. Representing AMI at international events you will be able to sell the benefits of joining the AMI community through membership and publishing in our journals. A self-starter, you will be excited to contribute new and creative ideas to help us build our journal communities and grow our reach and impact
