Laboratory production team leader
This is a permanent opportunity paying a negotiable salary
Kenton Black Scientific is a recruitment partner to a food testing laboratory based in Carlisle. They are looking to hire a microbiology team leader to join their expanding team.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for managing a team of laboratory technicians
Responsible for providing technical assistance to junior staff members
Manage, mentor, coach and train a new team of analysts to provide them with the skillset and competencies to meet client expectations
Ensure all work carried out according to laboratory quality standards/ISO17025
Ensure that adequate amount of staff is present at all times in the laboratory
To perform technical and analytical procedures with due regard for written procedures, maintaining adequate records and producing accurate quality results on time.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in people management either within food manufacturing or food testing. It is not necessary to have scientific experience for this role as long as you have experience in people management.
Excellent experience in working within high– throughput environment
Good laboratory skills and practices
Proven management skills and experience is ideal
