Senior Specifications Technologist – Hybrid Opportunity

Our client, a successful and well–respected food manufacturer, is seeking a Senior Specifications Technologist to join their Technical Department. This opportunity arises due to continued growth and significant investment in the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Support New Product Development: Ensure product specifications and information are accurate to support the NPD team and process.
• Due Diligence: Adhere to time scales, company procedures, legislation, and customer codes of practice.
• Technical Packaging Information: Ensure correct technical information is on the appropriate packaging.
• Customer Interaction: Attend customer meetings to represent the company s technical capabilities.
• Legislation and Policy Updates: Stay current with legislation and company policies to ensure compliance.
• Raw Material Specifications: Assess raw materials against standards.
• Data Review: Analyze and review analytical data to ensure product quality.
• Customer Compliance: Ensure all products meet customer requirements.
• Production Support: Collaborate with production to provide technical solutions.

Skills and Experience

• HACCP, GMP, and Hygiene: Understanding of these critical food safety and quality standards.
• Microbiology and Nutrition: Basic understanding to support product development and compliance.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
• Attention to Detail: Precision in reviewing and ensuring accuracy of technical information.
• Computer Proficiency: Good computer skills for data management and communication.
• Communication: Strong communicator to liaise effectively with various stakeholders.

Role Details

• Hybrid Working: 2–3 days working from home.
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm.
