We are recruiting for a Technical Manager to lead the Technical and Quality teams across our multi–site operations. In this role, you will take full responsibility for the technical function, ensuring that our high standards are upheld and consistently improved upon. You will be the lead technical expert on–site, reporting directly to the Group Head of Technical, and will play a crucial role in external audits, such as those conducted by retailers and BRC.
As Technical Manager, you will be responsible for:
–Managing and leading the on–site technical and quality teams
–Overseeing all aspects of food safety, quality, and compliance with regulatory standards
–Leading external audits, including BRC and retailer audits
–Managing relationships with key customers, ensuring that their technical needs are met
–Driving continuous improvement within the technical department
–Ensuring full compliance with HACCP systems
Key Requirements:
–Proven experience in a similar level Technical Manager role within the food and drink industry
–Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to manage and develop teams
–A robust understanding of BRC standards and HACCP systems
–Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology)
–Experience working across multi–site operations is advantageous, but not essential
–Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage internal teams and external customer relationships.
Salary – 65,000 – 75,000
