Genetic Molecular Biologist
Location Cambridgeshire
Our client is a Cambridge–based Biotechnology company specialising in the provision and development of genomic solutions to support clinical diagnostics and research into precision medicine. Due to company growth, they now seek an experience Molecular Biologist to join their research and development team on a permanent basis.
The role:
The successful applicant will be responsible for:
- Undertake R&D projects to support the improvement of new and existing products in the product portfolio.
- Take an active role in project timeline management, troubleshooting and process development, to ensure project efficiency
- Executing experiments, analyse results, and present findings.
- Maintain knowledge of relevant scientific and technical advancements.
- Facilitating communication between the R&D team and other departments across the organization.
- Ensure adherence to the quality management system, Health & Safety practices, and ISO accreditations.
- Providing technical expertise and training to team members when required.
Suitable applicants:
- Prior Industry experience running independent research projects and supporting commercial product development.
- Experience with IVD molecular biology products
- Strong technical capability in molecular biology techniques, including PCR, DNA extraction and FISH.
- Knowledge of histology, cyto–genetics and microbiological expression
- Experience working to ISO13485 and ISO 9001
