Join Our Team as a Laboratory Manager!

As Laboratory Manager, you will:

• Lead and manage all laboratory operations, ensuring products are safe, high–quality, and legally compliant.
• Drive food safety and quality standards as the laboratory lead.
• Develop and motivate your team, setting performance goals and training plans.
• Oversee testing schedules, equipment calibration, and compliance with laboratory policies.
• Prepare for and assist in accreditation audits.
• Conduct root cause analyses and manage non–conformance reports.
• Coordinate internal and external testing, ensuring clear and timely reporting.

Essential Skills:

• Background in a laboratory function, ideally in food science, microbiology, or biology.
• Strong organizational and time–management skills.
• Proven experience leading small teams.
• Excellent communication and problem–solving abilities.
• Confidence, motivation, and initiative.

Desirable Skills:

• HNC/Degree in a science–related field.
• Knowledge of the dairy industry.

• Hours: 08:00 – 16:00 (40 hours per week) with flexibility to cover as needed.
• Salary: GBP35,000 per annum.
