–Call coverage rotates every other week
–CLIA Certified Lab
–35–50 cases a day
–Support includes four Histotechnologists, one pathologist.
–Scope of Services:
Required Anatomical Surgical Pathology, GI Pathology, GU Pathology, Neuropathology, Dermatopathology, Hematopathology (Bone Marrow, Lymph Nodes) Interpretation of Bone Marrow Aspirate/bx, Cytology, Autopsy. No GYN Cytology. Supervise Blood Bank. Need AP/CP Certification. Grossing own specimens and cutting frozen sections on the cryostat.
–Required Clinical Pathology Procedures: Hematology, Microbiology, Chemistry/Serology, Blood Bank
– Equipment/Technology consists of Thermo Shandon Cryostat, Nikon Microscope, Cytospin preparation.
