Senior Microbiologist – Environmental Monitoring & Product Testing

Would you like to work at a large multi–national pharmaceutical organisation with sites throughout the world?
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Microbiologist to work at a GMP Pharmaceutical facility in Kinsale, Co Cork. This position is offered as a Monday to Friday daytime position.
The purpose of this job is to perform scientific procedures and produce accurate results within the required time frame under a GMP quality system, using company procedures, and while adhering to general policies and standards.
The Senior Microbiologist will include the following key responsibilities;
- Collect Environmental Monitoring (EM) and cleaning validation samples
- Perform routine and non–routine QC testing such as Bioburden, Endotoxin, Concentration, and Conductivity
- Review manufacturing schedule for dynamic environmental monitoring to ensure all samples are collected appropriately, and address problems where necessary
- Review and reconcile all environmental monitoring samples at the end of the production run to ensure all samples were appropriately taken, processed, and were within required limits
- Participate in lean lab operation and continuous improvement programs to reduce operating costs
- To GMP review analytical data, initiate and follow–up OOS results and action limits as per procedures.
To be considered for the Senior Microbiologist position, you'll need the following skills and experience
- Microbiology In–Process and Final Product Testing (Bioburden/Endotoxin in particular)
- Environmental Monitoring
- Method Transfer/Validation (Bioburden/Endotoxin)
- Water Utilities Testing
- Method Updates/Report Writing (Micro)
- Knowledge of LIMS and Trackwise would be a distinct advantage
