A great opportunity has arisen to work with a small, friendly and successful GMP and UKAS accredited contract testing labs supporting healthcare industries in microbiological testing. Our client are looking for a Laboratory Quality Support Technician to join their growing talented team in Buxton, Derbyshire.
Responsibilities:- Comply with all company policies and procedures including, but not limited to, those covering Health & Safety, ISO 17025 and GMP.
- Work alongside Laboratory manager and Team leader in relation to quality events.
- Carry out non–conformance investigations, within all areas of work performed at MCS.
- Document Note to Files when required.
- Investigate complaints from customers.
- Perform risk assessments.
- Implement and coordinate CAPAs to ensure all assigned actions are completed in a timely manner.
- Implement and coordinate Change Controls to ensure all assigned actions are completed in a timely manner.
- Investigate Out of Specification results.
- Data trending in relation to quality events from QC perspective.
- Performing microbiological testing, plate reading and ensuring that tests are performed in accordance with requirements of ISO 17025 and GMP.
- Generation of test reports.
- Preparing and or reviewing SOPs, test methods and other standard laboratory documentation.
- Liaise with and manage customer requirements on a first line basis either via telephone, email or in person in relation to quality events.
- Keep up to date with changes in microbiology industry and regulatory requirements to be able to advise customers and apply to quality events appropriately.
- Have a relevant scientific degree with some industrial or academic experience in Laboratory Quality Support
- Be a strong team player
- Have good attention to detail
