QC analyst (Analytical).

6–month FTC.

Location: Speke, Liverpool.

19.99 p/h

SRG are looking for a QC analyst to join a global biotechnology company based in Liverpool. As a QC analyst you'd be responsible for conducting routine testing, as well as contributing to method improvement and validation studies.

This role would suit someone who has at least a years' experience as a QC analyst in a cGMP environment, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.

Shift work is required for this role.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Perform laboratory testing, data review and interpretation in accordance with company SOPs.
  • Perform raw material and component inspection.
  • Instrument maintenance and validation
  • Initiate deviations, CAPAs and complete change control actions.
  • Take part in OOS investigations and method improvement,
  • Ensure lab HSE risk assessments are completed and adhere to health and safety regulations.
  • Be a key member of the QC team and support in timely product testing and release.
  • Communicate with fellow QC Analytical team members, including Analysts, Team Coordinators, and Manager, QC Bioassay, QC Microbiology, QC Validation, QC Stability, GLIMS team members and QA team members.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Educated to NVQ level 2 level or equivalent in a scientific discipline, preferable chemistry.
  • Experience in a cGMP environment with HPLC, GC, UV–Vis or other analytical techniques in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Flexible and able to work shifts.
  • Good attention to detail.
